JEDDAH — The Jeddah Mayoralty, in collaboration with the relevant authorities, was able to reclaim 31 government land sites on the waterfronts in the North Abhur region along the Red Sea coast. The total areas of land that have so far reclaimed since the start of the mayoralty's field campaign to remove encroachments accounted for more than 3 million square meters, the Saudi Press Agency reported. This comes as part of the mayoralty's efforts to refurbish these sites and open them to be public parks, while continuing to enforce regulations without showing any leniency. This also aims to enhance sustainable development and preserve public property in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Jeddah Mayoralty reiterated its determination to continue its campaign, in collaboration with the relevant authorities, to reclaim the remaining encroached government land on the waterfronts, and implement regulatory procedures, as well as to prevent and remove any old or new violations that would block the public from having access to the beaches.
