RIYADH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman reassured everyone about the health of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. Chairing the weekly session of the Council of Ministers in Riyadh on Tuesday, the Crown Prince expressed appreciation to everyone who inquired about the King's health and prayed to God Almighty to grant him a speedy recovery. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said that the Cabinet appreciated the patronage of the 4th Global Cybersecurity Forum by the King and the contents of the Crown Prince's welcoming speech, which embodied the Kingdom's interest in consolidating joint international action for endeavors that serve development and prosperity for all countries of the world. The Cabinet hailed the strategic objectives of the Crown Prince's two global initiatives, which were to protect children in cyberspace and empower women in cybersecurity. These initiatives fall within the Kingdom's importance of investing in people in all fields, including this vital sector, which is essential for the growth of economies, the development of societies, and the security and stability of countries. The Cabinet discussed the latest regional and international developments, as well as the efforts being exerted in this regard, reiterating the statement of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) extraordinary ministerial meeting. The statement supported the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples and urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in maintaining security and stability in the region and implementing resolutions of international legitimacy. The Cabinet also welcomed the outcomes of the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat Daesh/ISIS, expressing hope for continued coordination among international partners to eradicate this organization and other terrorist groups. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom's stance against extremism and terrorism and its commitment to preventing their financing in all forms. Al-Dossary said that the Cabinet underlined the Kingdom's contributions to developing effective policies and solutions to global economic challenges and emphasized the importance of investing in the sustainability of the multilateral trading system to support economic growth and human development and mitigate economic risks. The Cabinet reiterated the Kingdom's position during its participation in the G20 meetings. The Kingdom emphasized the need to balance economic growth, energy security, and efforts to combat climate change. It also stressed its ambition to lead in the use of circular carbon economy technologies and become a global leader in producing and exporting clean energy. The Cabinet deemed the Kingdom's winning bid to host the 2026 International Association of Prosecutors Conference as a confirmation of the Kingdom's influential global position and significant role in promoting justice and establishing international judicial communication. The Cabinet extended for one year, effective as of Safar 20, 1446 AH, the provision in a previous royal order, which stipulates that regarding labor lawsuits, the case must first be submitted to the Labor Office to take the necessary steps to resolve the dispute amicably before filing it in the Labor Court. The Council approved transferring the licensing authority to practice the profession of administrative consulting for individuals from the Ministry of Commerce to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, to be included in the freelance work documents. The Ministry of Commerce shall continue to exercise the authority to issue the aforementioned licenses for a period of six months. The Cabinet also endorsed amending Article 9 of the Saudi Building Code Implementation Law, by adding the following phrase to it: "The occupancy certificate is a basic condition for the full release of electrical current." The Council authorized the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority or his deputy to discuss and sign with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association a draft administrative agreement for the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for the Digital Development Partnership. It approved the organization of the World Energy Council Executive Assembly and Conference between the World Energy Council and the Saudi Ministry of Energy. It authorized minister of commerce and chairman of the board of directors of National Competitiveness Center or his deputy to discuss and sign a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation with the Singaporean Ministry of Law.
