NEW YORK — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan held separate talks with foreign ministers of Canada and Venezuela in New York on Saturday. The meetings were held on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly. During the meeting with Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Melanie Joly, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to further enhance them. They also reviewed the latest regional and international developments. Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar and Director General of the foreign minister's office Abdulrahman Aldawood also attended the meeting. Prince Faisal also met with Venezuelan Minister of the People's Power for Foreign Affairs Yvan Gil Pinto. They discussed bilateral relations and ways to boost them. Major regional and international developments were also figured in their talks. The meeting was attended by Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil, Director General of the foreign minister's office Abdulrahman Aldawood, and Advisor to the foreign minister Mohammed Al-Yahya. The foreign minister's high profile meetings in New York also included talks with Prime Minister of Grenada Dickon Mitchell. The leaders discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields. Grenada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Export Development Joseph Andall, and Saudi Ambassador to US Princess Reema bint Bandar also attended the meeting.
