RIYADH — Prince Faisal bin Ayyaf, mayor of Riyadh Region and chairman of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC), inaugurated the Saudi Infrastructure Summit and Exhibition in Riyadh on Tuesday. Several ministers and officials from Saudi Arabia and abroad were present on the occasion.
In his inaugural speech, the mayor said that the Saudi Infrastructure Summit and Exhibition aims to enhance collaboration and efforts to develop cities and achieve sustainable development by exchanging experiences with those who have successful practices.
Prince Faisal pointed out that the Kingdom has a comprehensive work system dedicated to serving cities and their residents, working towards their progress and development in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership. "Work on developing cities is in full swing, with improving quality of life and enhancing services being among the key elements of the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030," he said.
The mayor stated that developing and enhancing the city's infrastructure directly contributes to its growth and advancement. He emphasized that the success of all major projects and initiatives depends on the availability of suitable infrastructure to support and activate them.
He also highlighted the unprecedented support that the infrastructure sector receives from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. "With high determination and lofty ambitions, we are tackling the challenges of the next phase to transform Riyadh into one of the world's most sustainable cities," he said.
Speaking on the occasion, RIPC Chief Executive Eng. Al-Baddah said that the summit contributes to shaping an ambitious vision for the future of infrastructure. He noted that the wise leadership placed great emphasis on developing infrastructure and advancing projects in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
The summit featured sessions, workshops, the presentation of success stories, and the signing of several agreements and partnerships with major local and international entities.
