LONDON — Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, announced that Riyadh Season has received approval to increase the ticket capacity to 96,000 for the Wembley showdown, which will take place on September 21, 2024. The main event will feature the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois defending his title for the first time against former two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. Tickets for the first Riyadh Season fight in London sold out last week, but with the new approval for increased capacity at the iconic stadium, additional tickets will go on sale on Friday at 12:00 noon UK time. The main card for the Riyadh Season in London will feature six all-British bouts, along with a special musical performance by legendary singer Liam Gallagher, marking his first live show since the announcement of the Oasis reunion tour set for 2025. This event is set to be the largest boxing spectacle in Wembley Stadium's history, with a record-breaking attendance in the UK and Europe, surpassing the previous record of 94,000 spectators for Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte in April 2022. In addition to the Joshua vs. Dubois heavyweight title fight, the event will feature a clash between Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington for the IBF light-heavyweight title, a bout between Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson for the interim WBO light-heavyweight title, and other exciting matchups including Tyler Denny vs. Hamzah Sheeraz at middleweight, William Smith vs. Josh Kelly at light middleweight, and Mark Chamberlain vs. Josh Padley at lightweight.
