RIYADH — Damac, a Saudi Pro League football club, finalized an agreement on Monday with Al Shabab for the loan of Senegalese striker Habib Diallo for one season. This move comes after Damac's management and coach Cosmin Contra expressed dissatisfaction with their current striker, Assan Ceesay, whom the club is looking to offload. The club hopes that Diallo will be the forward who will delight Damac fans in the near future. Diallo is expected to feature in the upcoming match against Al Hilal, alongside new goalkeeper Florin Niță. Diallo's decision to join Damac is influenced by his desire to maintain his place in the Senegal national team, where he is a key player. Remaining as a substitute at Al Shabab could jeopardize his chances of staying in the starting lineup. In response, the Riyadh-based club plans to register Dutch defender Wesley Hoedt as Diallo's replacement.
