AR RASS — Al Kholood fans breathed a sigh of relief as the club's management completed three foreign signings on Thursday, just in time for the team's first match in the Saudi Pro League against Al Ittihad. The club announced on Thursday that they have secured the services of Slovakian defender Norbert Gyömbér, Spanish winger Álex Collado, and Comorian striker Myziane Maolida. Norbert Gyömbér, 32, has had a diverse career in Italy, playing for clubs such as Catania, Roma, Pescara, Bari, and Perugia, before concluding his Italian journey with Salernitana. He also represented Slovakia in the recent UEFA European Championship, appearing in two matches. Spanish winger Álex Collado, who played for Al Okhdood last season, impressed with his performances, contributing to seven goals through both assists and scoring. Meanwhile, Myziane Maolida is recognized as one of the top forwards for Comoros, having scored three goals in four World Cup qualifying matches. Last season, he played in the Scottish Premiership with Hibernian, where he scored ten goals and provided two assists in 18 league appearances. With these signings, Al Kholood has bolstered its squad significantly, and the team is now eagerly anticipating the completion of further transfers before the deadline.
