Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — The Team Lab, in cooperation with the Saudi Ministry of Culture, launched in Jeddah on Sunday the TeamLab Museum, the first museum of its kind in the Middle East. AbdelRahman Al Motaawa, spokesman for the Ministry of Culture, said in a speech during the opening ceremony that the museum will help enhance different types of art, especially since it embodies 80 different artworks that are displayed using modern technologies. Takuya Takei, TeamLab, Asia regional director, said in an exclusive interview with Saudi Gazette: "We always create a team that might propose the new definition of the beauties." He explained why Jeddah was chosen to establish the museum saying the city has a long history, and the location within Jeddah's cultural district. He also said that the experiences offered in Japan are completely different from Jeddah, especially since "we will provide experiences that you have never seen before." The first "Tim Lab Borderless" museum was launched in Japan in 2018, and received more than 2.3 million visitors annually, setting a global record for the most attractive museum by one artistic collection. The museum, located in Jeddah's historic district, will host more than 50 technical companies that take visitors on a visual journey of creativity. Visitors will enjoy sights of the shores of Alarbaeen Lagoon, overlooking panoramic views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum includes a huge creative Athletics Forest, and Athletics Forest, along with the joint educational project, Future Park. The project is part of the Ministry's historic activation program, one of the goals of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030. The Athletics Forest is an area that allows visitors to acquire the ability to have spatial perception by enhancing the growth of the hippocampus in the brain and is based on the principle of understanding the world through the body and thinking about it in a three-dimensional way. As for the "City of Future Games", it is considered an experimental educational project that relies on the concept of joint creativity, an entertaining city that allows people to enjoy building bonds freely with others. In the event "Without the title" comes a group of giant oval balls (Ovoids) that float in space, slowly drowning and turning constantly, and when they are pushed or collide with something, their color changes and a unique tone is made. Other oval balls surrounding them respond to one after the other turning to the same color and releasing the same tone.
