After several days of surveillance the Jeddah Police Criminal Investigations Department (CID) arrested a gang of African nationals who allegedly carried out several burglaries. The CID monitored the gang as they allegedly tried to break into a residence in Al-Faisalia district in Jeddah. The burglars admitted to several other burglaries after police interrogation. They said one of their accomplices was still at large. Police arrested the accomplice while he was hiding in a downtown Jeddah house. He said the leader of the gang was a 39- year-old of the same nationality. Col. Misfir Al-Je'aid, spokesman of Jeddah Police stressed the importance of citizens and expatriates to realize their role in reporting on gangs to not leave their homes unlocked. – Okaz __
