JEDDAH — Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, president of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, met with Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber Yousef Khalawi and Dr. Fasihar Hassan Abdul Razzaq were also present on the occasion. During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah Kamel was briefed on the investment opportunities in Malaysia, especially those related to Saudi companies. For his part, Anwar Ibrahim stressed the great importance of his meeting with Sheikh Abdullah Kamel, saying that this reflects his country's success in attracting investments from the Middle East. He pointed out that Malaysia achieved the highest investment rate in its history during the year 2023, amounting to 329.5 billion Malaysian ringgit. The prime minister said that providing opportunities for Malaysian entrepreneurs to invest in Saudi Arabia ensures the growth of Malaysian companies and workforce as well as its acquisition of skills from various countries.
