DOHA — The Saudi Arabian national football team launched its first training session Friday in Doha, Qatar, in preparation for the upcoming 2023 Asian Cup. The team, also known as "The Green Falcons," is set to kick off its campaign in the tournament with a match against the Oman national team on Jan. 16 at the Khalifa International Stadium at 8:30 p.m. On the field, the training session was conducted at the Aspire Academy fields under the guidance of coach Roberto Mancini. The session began with warm-up exercises, followed by square drills. Mancini then implemented various tactical exercises before dividing the team into two groups. The session concluded with stretching exercises. Meanwhile, players Ayman Yahya and Abbas Al-Hassan continued their respective rehabilitation programs. This preparation marks a significant step for the Saudi team as they aim to make a strong impact in the Asian Cup, with an initial focus on their opening match against Oman.
