Under the supervision of the Pakistan Welfare Society (PWS), the Free Medical Camps are continuously being held at Pakistan Consulate General Jeddah for poor and needy patients in the Pakistani community. The free medical camps have been organized every Ramadan since May 2006. This Ramadan the medical camps will be organized from Sept. 5-19 from 2-5 P.M. Maqbool Abbasi from the PWS said the main reason to hold the medical camps is to provide free services to Pakistani community. Three female and five male doctors are available to treat patients. Two are female gynecologists and one is a child specialist. Abbasi said around 125-150 patients daily benefit from these medical camp. Patients will also receive free medicine. To help in providing medicines to the needy, citizens are urged to donate medicines they are not using to the PWS. For more information contact Maqbool Abbasi, 0502256864. Dr. Khalilur Rehman, acting director of the PWS said, “I know that our community is always willing to provide all kind of help for any noble cause. They just need the proper awareness so that their support can be utilized in the best possible way.” Recently, the society bought ultrasound machine that originally costs around SR250,000. __
