RIYADH — Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, Mirjana Spoljaric. During the phone call, the two sides discussed the latest development in the Gaza Strip and its surrounding, in addition to the ongoing military escalation in the region. The Saudi foreign minister stressed to Red Cross President the importance of an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, and stopping attacks by Israeli occupation forces on civilians and hospitals, the most recent of which was their storming of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Prince Faisal confirmed the importance of securing humanitarian corridors to allow the entry of urgent relief and medical aid, in addition to facilitating the immediate entry of relief convoys into Gaza to alleviate the sufferings experienced by the residents of the Strip.
