CAIRO — A specialized team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) met Jeremy Hopkins, representative of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) for Egypt, in Cairo on Wednesday. They discussed ways to make delivery of relief supplies to the afflicted Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip. This was part of the team's ongoing coordination meetings with regard to dispatching humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians. During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the response plan issued this month for the State of Palestine, and discussed areas of partnership and cooperation in emergency situations to help brothers in the Gaza Strip and mechanisms for accelerating the delivery of aid to beneficiaries within the framework of the humanitarian efforts that the KSrelief is working on. The specialized team reached Cairo on Tuesday to discuss the mechanism for the delivery of Saudi aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza. This is in implementation of the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to launch a popular fundraising campaign through the Sahem platform of KSrelief to provide relief supplies to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
