Cabinet urges energy minister to hold talks with AOS on clean fuel solutions for food provision

The Cabinet, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Tuesday in Riyadh, approved a model of a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Arabia and the governments of countries and international organizations to cooperate in implementing the initiatives of the Oil Sustainability Program (OSP).
It also authorized the minister of energy, chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Program, to hold discussions with concerned governments and international organizations on draft memoranda of understanding to cooperate in implementing the initiatives of the program.
The Cabinet authorized the minister of energy, chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the Oil Sustainability Program, to hold discussions with the African Organization for Standardization on a draft cooperation agreement in the field of clean fuel solutions for food provision.
The Cabinet was briefed on the recent talks the Kingdom had with a number of countries with the aim of boosting cooperation to serve common interests and enhancing coordination regarding several regional and international issues.
The Cabinet followed up on the situation in Gaza and other related developments, reiterating the Kingdom's historical and pioneering support for the Palestinian people, including through the launch of a fundraising campaign to help people in Gaza, and continuing efforts, in coordination with regional and international parties, to bring about an immediate ceasefire, and justice and peace to the Palestinian issue.
The Cabinet commended the Kingdom's holding of high-level specialized international events whose outcomes are in line with national goals for vital fields, including the Global Health Exhibition and the Global Cybersecurity Forum, both hosted in Riyadh.
During the events agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed and discussions were held to achieve a sustainable and prosperous future for these two sectors, and enhance their roles in economic and social development.
The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia.
It authorized the minister of commerce to hold talks with the Egyptian side regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Commerce of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade of Egypt for cooperation in the field of consumer protection.
It called for renewing a veterinary services cooperation agreement between the government of Saudi Arabia and the government of Egypt for a period of five years.
The Cabinet authorized the minister of tourism to hold talks with the Tunisian and Ivorian sides regarding two draft memorandums of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia and the ministries of tourism of Tunisia and Côte d'Ivoire.
It authorized the minister of tourism to hold talks with the African Union regarding a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia and the African Union for cooperation in the development of human capital in the tourism sector.
The Cabinet authorized the minister of communications and information technology and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Digital Government Authority to hold talks with the Moroccan, Rwandan and Djiboutian sides regarding draft memorandums of understanding between Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority, the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform of Morocco, the Information Society Authority of Rwanda, and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Innovation of Djibouti for cooperation in digital government fields.
It approved a memorandum of understanding between Saudi Export Development Authority and the General Authority of the Egyptian Export Development Centre of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Egypt in the field of non-oil export development.
The Cabinet approved MoUs between the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of Saudi Arabia and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of Nigeria, and the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission of Kenya to prevent and combat corruption.
It authorized the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Education and Training Evaluation Commission to discuss with the Mauritanian side a memorandum of understanding between the commission and the Ministry of National Education and Educational Reform of Mauritania, to cooperate in improving assessment, measurement and accreditation tools.
The Cabinet approved a cooperation agreement between the Presidency of State Security of Saudi Arabia and the General Directorate of National Security of Mauritania to combat terrorism and financing terrorists.
It approved MoUs between the General Department of Financial Investigation at the Presidency of State Security of Saudi Arabia and the following: The National Financial Intelligence Processing Unit of Senegal, the National Financial Intelligence Unit of Benin, the National Agency for Financial Investigation of Chad and the National Financial Information Processing Center of Togo, to exchange results of investigations related to money laundering, financing terrorism and related crimes. — SPA
