All participants will showcase the uniqueness and creativity that distinguishes Saudi culture with all its components, rooted in its history extending for hundreds of years.
The activities scheduled to be presented include performances and seminars from all cultural sectors in Saudi Arabia, such as dialogue seminars in terms of Saudi literature and translation efforts between the Kingdom and France, musical cultural cross-fertilization, and preserving the legacy of the culinary arts through specialized books.
The Kingdom's world heritage and traditional arts and craft will also be introduced. There will be a special session on King Salman Charter for Architecture and Urbanism, in addition to poetry evenings with live translation and distinctive film screenings that will be shown as an interactive art exhibition.
Visitors will also enjoy a photography exhibition by the French photographer Thierry Mauger, where he will display his most notable works in the southern region of Saudi Arabia.
Amid the presence of a group of Saudi cultural figures, the exhibition will also include a pavilion for manuscripts, local fashions, an introduction to the philosophy conference and several other initiatives.
All these efforts aim at strengthening the cultural exchange between Saudi and French communities, and enhance the image of Saudi Arabia as a diverse and innovative cultural destination.
This also comes within the efforts of the government to enhance cultural exchange between nations, encourage talented Saudis to participate in local and global cultural events, and shed the light on the most creative and distinguished fields in Saudi Arabia to promote them globally.
The exhibition will support the Year of Arabic Poetry 2023 initiative through a mini museum in partnership with the Poetry Academy, as poetry is one of the most important cultural components of Arab culture.
This also reflects the Saudi Culture Ministry's keenness on enhancing cultural exchange as one of its strategic goals in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
