Algerian player Riyad Mahrez and Ivorian player Franck Kessie scored the two goals for Al-Ahli in the 39th and 59th minutes, respectively. The game saw Al-Tai's player Alfa Semedo receiving a red card in the 35th minute. With this victory, Al-Ahli's points tally reached 12, positioning them in second place on goal difference behind the league leader, Al-Ittihad. Meanwhile, Al-Tai's points remained at three, placing them in the 14th position.
