Under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman, the Saudi Camel Federation will organize the Crown Prince Camel Festival on Aug. 1, 2023, in Taif Camel Square. The winners of the race held at the festival will receive SR56.255 million, according to the Saudi Camel Federation. A significant number of local and international camel owners will compete in the race, which consists of more than 589 rounds. The festival will start with a preliminary race consisting of 350 rounds, which will be held between Aug. 1 and 12 and will be the opening event at the festival. Since the festival's inception in 2018, it has attracted a huge number of camel enthusiasts from around the world. The festival strives to preserve and promote Saudi Arabia's camel history; it has generated revenues through the various events that support this heritage and help it go forward, and which focus on the culture surrounding camels in Saudi Arabia, and other Arab and Islamic traditions. — SPA
