RIYADH — Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha has started an official visit to China. Eng. Al-Swaha's visit will include Beijing, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Shenzhen, where he will meet his Chinese counterpart, a number of government officials, and leaders of major companies working in the fields of technology, digital economy, space and innovation. The visit comes in line with the development that the Saudi-Chinese relations is witnessing in recent years, which confirm the partnership's strength between the two countries that is characterized by an accelerated pace in light of the increase in global opportunities and the development of technologies in various fields. It is expected that Eng. Al-Swaha's visit to China would enhance several partnerships. It would also attract more Chinese technology investments to Saudi Arabia through building strategic partnerships that strengthen the digital economic growth and achieve prosperity in the space and innovation fields, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
