MAKKAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman issued an order to host 2,000 pilgrims from families of those martyred in the Decisive Storm military operation in Yemen. They include 1,000 pilgrims from the families of Saudis who were martyred in the operation, and 1,000 pilgrims from the families of martyrs belonging to the Yemeni forces. This is under the Guests Program of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Hajj, Umrah and Visit, being implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. On this occasion, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance and General Supervisor of the program Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh thanked King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for this generous and gracious royal gesture. "This hosting comes as an extension of the wise leadership's great deeds in serving Islam and Muslims, and in appreciation of the leadership for the sacrifices made by the martyrs to defend the religion and homelands," he said while noting that the ministry has prepared a strategic plan for hosting these pilgrims through the provision of all facilities and services for them to perform their rituals in ease and comfort. The minister said that a total of 4951 pilgrims are benefited from the Guests Program for this year's Hajj. These guests include prominent Islamic personalities, scholars, influencers and eminent people, as well as families and relatives of the martyrs of Palestine and brothers in Yemen and Syria and other countries. The total number of those who were hosted at the expense of the King until this year reached 62,338 male and female pilgrims, he added.
