This is in response to the Saudi Gazette article “Ministry studies work permits for wives, daughters of expats” (April 26). It is a good step indeed. The fact that they are studying this aspect of the work scenario is commendable. Otherwise either schools will close or they will raise fees, and ultimately highly skilled expatriates (which is the need for any country ) may move from here because of lack of good education for their children. This issue of education is a major concern for expatriates' families. Let us hope a positive step will take place very soon Muhammed Sajid via online
