Saudi Arabia has announced the appointment of Othman Al-Mazyad as the general commissioner of the Kingdom's pavilion at the World Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka, Kansai, Japan under the slogan, "Designing Future Society for Our Lives". Al-Mazyad enjoys years-long scientific and practical experiences in Japan, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in business management and Master's degree in public policy making and innovation from the Tokyo-based Tokai University in 2013. He also received the best dissertation award from Keio University in 2015 and has held several posts in various sectors in Japan, including higher education, commerce, and research. The appointment of Al-Mazyad was in line with the ambitions of the Saudi pavilion at Expo 2025, which will focus primarily on promoting the Kingdom's values and cultural heritage and its internationally-recognized status as a hub for innovation and excellence. Through participation at World Expo 2025, the Kingdom seeks to build on its pavilion's successes at Dubai Expo 2020, which received around 5 million visitors. — SPA
