RIYADH — The Transport General Authority (TGA) and the competent authorities have started implementing the decision of organizing truck's entry into Riyadh. The decision comes as part of the main program for entering central cities in Saudi Arabia. TGA said that the truck's entry will be through e-appointments and with specified times, in order to contribute in organizing the truck's flow, and prevent its accumulation at the cities' entrances, in addition to raising the quality and efficiency of transportation and of operational services. This also aims in organizing and managing the flow of trucks to cities, tracking its route, reducing traffic congestion, as well as providing data and information analysis to contribute to decision-making. It is noteworthy that the TGA had launched earlier in cooperation with the Muroor and Mawani, a service program for organizing the entry of trucks to main cities. Its first phase was launched in Jeddah Governorate.
