RIYADH — The total volume of investments in the Saudi industrial sector until November of 2022 amounted to SR1.41 trillion, while the total number of factories reached 10,742. According to the monthly report of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the number of the valid mining licenses in the sector until the end of November reached 2,201 licenses. The report said that 1,371 were building materials quarry licenses, 589 exploration licenses, 172 mining and small mine exploitation licenses, 36 reconnaissance licenses, and 33 surplus mineral ores licenses. The number of new industrial licenses that the Ministry issued from January until November of 2022 reached 885 licenses, with investments up to SR29.7 billion. There were 989 factories that started production operations from January to November of the previous year, with investments amounting to SR28.4 billion. The Ministry said that the industrial sector has created 41,159 job opportunities during the same period.
