SOFITEL Al-Khobar the Corniche has announced the appointment of Jules-Henri Edouard as general manager for the hotel property. Edouard will primarily be accountable for the overall well-being of the property, focusing on key issues such as the increment of sales and training the staff on quality. Edouard has a vast background in the field of hospitality, during which he has managed to secure several managerial positions in world-renowned properties such as Hilton International and Conrad Hotels. Prior to joining Accor as general manager, Edouard was associated with the Winfair Group as general manager of Hotel La Belle Creole and Treasure Island Resort in the Caribbean. He was also responsible for the opening of Zitahli Resorts & Spa, Maldives, where he undertook several tasks that involved establishing a brand identity and maintaining the pre opening activities. His tenure with Accor commenced in 2004 as general manager, where he was responsible for developing and monitoring the performance of Grand Mercure, Malta as the hotel transitioned from a management contract to a franchise entity. In 2011 he was appointed as general manager for Sofitel Resort & Spa, Taba Heights in Egypt. Under his guidance and supervision, the hotel achieved the highest guest satisfaction score among Sofitel Europe, Middle East & Africa and Indian Ocean. Edouard also has an extensive academic background, most evidently in the field of Human Resources. He has received his degree from The Institute of Political Studies with a focus on Finance & Business Management. He also holds a doctorate in labor sociology from The University of Human Sciences in Strasbourg, France. — SG
