RIYADH — Rainy weather and thunderstorms will continue to be witnessed in most regions around Saudi Arabia on Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). The regions of Riyadh, Eastern Province (Al-Sharqiyah), Qassim, the Northern Border and Al-Jouf will witness moderate to heavy thunderstorms, with torrential rains on Monday and Tuesday. While moderate thunderstorms will on Monday and Tuesday affect the regions of Jazan, Hail, Al-Baha, Asir, Makkah, as well as other regions of Riyadh, including the capital, and Al-Sharqiyah. This will be accompanied with hail, lack of horizontal visibility, high waves on coastal cities, NCM said. As for the Makkah region, which includes Jeddah and Rabigh, and several regions of Tabuk, including NEOM, Umluj, as well as the Madinah regions that include AlUla and Madinah, will witness light to moderate rains. NCM said it is possible that snow will fall on the highlands of the Tabuk region, which includes Jabal Al Lawz, Alaqan and Al Dhahr. As for temperatures, the center indicated that several regions in the Kingdom will witness a significant decrease, as it is expected that the temperature in Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, and the north of Madinah will be between 0 to 5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday night. As for the temperature in Riyadh, Al-Qassim, and North Al-Sharqiyah, it will be ranging between 4 and 7 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night.
