RIYADH — Mazen Al-Kahmous, president of the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), said that the adoption of Makkah Convention would contribute in recovering the proceeds of crimes to their origin countries. The convention was held in Jeddah under the patronage of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. He welcomed Excellencies, heads, and representatives of international organizations to the meeting. He said that the adoption of Makkah Convention by member states would establish a new phase of strengthening cooperation in the field of combating corruption to serve common interests and achieve more development and prosperity, and it will set an example to follow. Al-Kahmous noted that this is a step consistent with the contents of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, and reflects the seriousness of member states of the organization, as the second largest international organization after the United Nations.
