The 9th Session of Saudi-South African Joint Committee kicked off here Monday in the presence of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, South African Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition Ebrahim Patel and senior officials from both sides. The two ministers inaugurated the roundtable investment and commercial Saudi-South African meeting that also includes representative from participating government institutions and several companies and investors from Saudi Arabia and South Africa. The two ministers also attended the Saudi-South African Business Council that was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment, "Invest in Saudi" Program and the Federation of Saudi Chambers. As part of the activities of the joint committee, Al-Khorayef held a meeting with his South African counterpart. Deputy Minister for Mining Affairs Eng. Khaled Al-Mudaifer and Saudi Ambassador to South Africa Sultan Al-Angari were present. They discussed joint issues between the two countries as per the outcomes of the works of the committee and the importance of enhancing cooperation between the two countries and utilizing opportunities they enjoy. — SPA
