year-old patient arrived at the International Medical Center, she was grousing about acute eczema across all parts of her body, which were covered with bruises due to itching, an ordeal that kept her in pain for a prolonged period of time, during which she paid visits to several hospitals. During her last treatment journey, the patient had abstained from eating some foods that she thought were causing the allergy, but her feeling of improvement was not substantial, which prompted her to visit the Functional Medicine and Wellness Center at the IMC in order to identify the root causes of her illness and come up with a treatment plan that helps her overcome the suffering. Dr. Reham Garash, a holistic physician and the wellness initiatives manager, oversaw the journey of diagnosing and treating the condition, and recommended a comprehensive functional analysis of the patient, as some of these analyzes aimed to disclose the causes of hidden allergies (ie. Food intolerances), and based on these analyzes a thorough plan was developed to eliminate certain foods from her diet which were causing the allergies. The patient also underwent analyzes to measure the levels of good and harmful bacteria in the colon, and the results revealed the presence of harmful bacteria in the colon that might be a contributing factor for further exacerbation of eczema in the skin, and accordingly the growth of beneficial bacteria was supported by prescribing her nutritional supplements in order to eliminate harmful bacteria. Dr. Reham Garash stated: The greatest challenges during the treatment journey were the ill girl's ability to maintain discipline with the diet plan assigned to her, but the support of the wellness team strengthened her determination and helped her adhere to the precise treatment plan. Two months in after following the abstinence dietary plan and commitment to taking the nutritional supplements that were prescribed to her; By the grace of God Almighty, she was able to recover, as the eczema and bruises disappeared.
