GEA chairman kicks off celebration event program for Saudi Arabia's 92nd National Day Nine days of celebrations and exceptional shows across the Kingdom's regions
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) Turki Al-Sheikh, announced on Saturday the launch of the program of celebrations for the 92nd Saudi Arabia's National Day under the slogan "It Is Our Home," which will start on Sept. 17 until 26 in the Kingdom's region. The regions of Saudi Arabia are preparing for a major national celebration, at the forefront of which are the majestic air and marine shows that will be performed by both military and civil sectors with a group of fighter jets, helicopters, civil aircraft, ships, and boats in one of the largest air and marine shows witnessed and held in all past national days. This year's show will be held under the slogan "A homeland salute," to draw in the Kingdom's sky a greeting of pride, honor, and belonging to the homeland, the wise leadership and the Saudi people. The Royal Saudi Air Forces will perform air shows for a period of ten days, demonstrated by Typhoon, F-15S, Tornado, and F-15C fighter jets across 14 cities. The Royal Saudi Naval Forces Command will also participate in a national parade including military vehicles, a motorcycle squad and a horsemen's show, in addition to a naval show demonstrating the latest marine equipment, along with boats show presented by the Naval Special Security Group (NSSG) and finally, an aerial parade by helicopters. The Ministry of Interior (MoI) participates in the National Day celebration with exceptional participation through military shows that will include a theater of operations with the distinguished engagement of security sectors and a live musical performance by military bands. The capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, is witnessing a special event presented by the launch of the military march of the Saudi Royal Guard Command in several main streets of the capital, forming a majestic national procession that shares the joy of citizens. National anthem parades and other musical performances will also occur on the streets of Jeddah, performed by the Saudi Royal Guard Command. The international Cirqus Du Soleil will present exceptional performances that are designed for Saudi Arabia's 92nd National Day, which will take place at the theater of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, for a period of four days, under the title "The Wealth of a Homeland" (Tharwat Watan) from Sept. 21 to 24. Festivals and events will not be limited to Riyadh and Jeddah, as 13 regions of the Kingdom will host festivals celebrating the Kingdom's history and authentic national heritage, to be launched in public parks, including dozens of entertainment events, interactive activities, heritage-related shows, and crafts. Also, massive fireworks will light up the skies of 18 cities in various regions of Saudi Arabia. Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Sports City in Madinah holds the National Operetta, which will tell the story of Saudi Arabia throughout its history, with dazzling technologies displaying innovative folkloric paintings and the launch of the historical exhibition to outline the history of Saudi Arabia further. Artistically, several other cities will witness a variety of musical concerts celebrating National Day in five central regions: Riyadh, Abha, Al-Qassim, Jeddah, and Al-Ahsa. Prominent artists will perform at the event within the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, such as Mohammed Abdu, Abadi Al-Johar, Rabeh Saqer, Majed Al-Muhandis, Ahlam, Angham, and Ahmed Saad.
