Under the generous patronage of Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA), the second edition of the Global AI Summit with the theme "Artificial Intelligence for the Good of Humanity", is being organized by SDAIA at King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from Sept. 13 to 15.
On this occasion, SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Bin Sharaf Alghamdi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Crown Prince for this generous patronage, which comes within the framework of the Kingdom's interest and constant keenness on everything that would provide various forms of support and success reasons for this summit.
He pointed out that the patronage of the Crown Prince for the works of the summit in its second edition also gives it prestige and importance at all local, regional and international levels.
He said: "It has become clear that the AI technologies have begun to be used in our daily lives and will have a significant impact in all aspects of life.
"Therefore, Saudi Arabia has set the visions of this modern technical field within the objectives of its Vision 2030, and will seek through this global summit to become a major forum in the world in the field of AI after the success of the first summit held in 2020."
He added that the summit will discuss everything related to the field of the AI technologies from the present reality, challenges and aspirations towards benefiting from the AI technologies through the various presentations which will be presented by the participants.
The presentations will be made by experts and specialists from senior officials in the government agencies and major technology companies in the world, that highlight the latest research and technologies in this field, exchange experiences with them, and discover investment opportunities related to the AI tools during the next phase.
Dr. Alghamdi said that the Global AI Summit in its second edition is also considered as an opportunity for interested people and experts in this field to benefit from the gathering of more than 100 speakers specialized in the AI around the world under one roof in Riyadh.
It is also an opportunity to listen to them during their participation in work sessions, panel discussions and accompanying workshops as well as reviewing a number of the AI use cases that will be reviewed during the summit by local and international innovative bodies.
The summit will discuss a number of topics that show the implications of the AI on the most important sectors, such as: smart cities, human capacity development, health care, transportation, energy, culture and heritage, environment and economic mobility, with the aim of finding solutions to the current challenges and maximizing the use of the AI technologies.
