Security campaigns staged by the Asir Police Department resulted in the arrest of a number of offenders and overstayers as well as in the confiscation of a large quantity of prohibited items and arms.
According to Colonel Abdullah Bin Ayed Al-Garni, spokesperson to the media at Asir Police Department, some 47 overstayers and 1,680 individuals of unknown nationality were arrested. Some 8,918 traffic violations and 19 drug and liquor related cases were registered. Fifteen firearms and 477 rounds of live ammunition were also confiscated. – Okaz __
