RIYADH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has reported that the maximum temperatures in the Holy Sites during the 2022 Hajj season are expected to reach during the day between 42-44 degrees. NCM said that the Holy Sites may witness activity in the surface winds during daytime. This in addition to the fact that dust may also be raised, with a speed of up to 35 kilometers per hour, especially on open areas and highways. "The wind direction in general will be northwesterly to west," NCM noted. While the chance that rainy thunderclouds will form on the heights of the southern Makkah region during the period from Dhu Al-Hijjah 9 to 13 is not excluded, which may affect the holy sites with the active dusty winds, NCM said. It is noteworthy that Al-Mashaer Bulletin, which was published by the Ministry of Hajj in the year of 1429 AH with a title of Classification of Hajj years from 1201 AH until 1500 AH, stated that this year's Hajj would be the penultimate Hajj that pilgrims will perform the rituals during the summer season. As it has completed 7 years of its summer cycle, which began in 1437 AH and will end in the Hajj season in 1444 AH.
