Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef commenced an official visit to the United Kingdom to promote bilateral collaboration opportunities in the industrial and mining sectors and open up new avenues of communication with British investors. Accompanied by senior leaders of the industry and mineral resources, the minister met during his visit with Saudi Ambassador to the UK Prince Khalid Bin Bandar Bin Sultan. Both discussed the latest developments and highlighted the Kingdom's efforts and determination to achieve Vision 2030 objectives, aiming to diversify the Kingdom's economic base, as well as create opportunities to increase collaboration and coordination in the industrial and mining sectors. The meeting explored key collaboration opportunities and topics of interest to the Saudi side. It also discussed the most important ways to achieve the goals of the Kingdom in the industrial and mining sectors, including the exploitation of mineral wealth estimated at $1.3 trillion, and the development of industries related to minerals. The meeting promoted promising opportunities in both sectors and underscored incentives for attracting quality investments. The minister's visit intends also to strengthen the role of the industrial and mining sectors in diversifying the economy and welcoming investors from all over the world.
