Panasonic will be launching two new Full-HD Camcorders aimed at ambitious amateur videographers. The SD100 and HS100 both feature Panasonic's innovative 3MOS system and a range of manual functions that give users the power to create dramatic, artistic images. Both cameras feature a new 12x zoom Leica Dicomar lens system, which prevents colour bleeding and enables crisp, clear, free of flare footage. Panasonic Marketing Middle East Product Manager Yasuo Kimoto said that both camcorders give users the image quality they expect by using the advanced AVCHD video format to record 1920 x 1080 images in breathtaking full-HD quality. “The SD100 is highly resistant to impact because it records onto SD or SDHC memory cards and thus has no moving mechanism. This plus the compact size make the SD100 ideal for casual, walk-about shooting fun,” he said. “As a hybrid model, the HS100 records full-HD images onto either an SD (or SDHC) Memory Card, or the built-in 60-GB hard disk with the ability to copy clips from the hard disk to the SD Memory Card and vice versa.”
