The National Campaign for Charitable Work, which was launched on Friday after the issuance of the Royal approval, has received donations exceeding SR300 million in the first 48 hours of its launch, making the total donation received by the national platform for charitable work (Ehsan) to more than SR1.780 billion through over 23 million donor transactions. The National Campaign for Charitable Work was inaugurated with generous donations of SR30 million from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and of SR20 million from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, before the start of donations from senior donors from the private and non-profit sectors. Individuals from various classes of society followed suit, enhancing the values of social solidarity in Ramadan. The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) launched the campaign through the national platform for charitable work (Ehsan) on the first Friday of the holy month of Ramadan. The successes achieved by Ehsan is attributed to the support it receives from the wise leadership, and the continuous follow-up and empowerment by the Crown Prince, who is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SDAIA, as an extension of his interest in supporting and developing the charity sector and providing all necessary means to organize it and support its activities in a way that can increase its contribution to the development of society. This played a significant role in achieving the highest degrees of efficiency and credibility by the Ehsan platform in delivering donations to their beneficiaries. — SPA
