It was a moment that will live long in the memory of golf fans around the world: Harold Varner III's colossal 92ft eagle putt to win last month's $5million PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers. From just off the 18th green, the American — in need of a birdie four to take good friend Bubba Watson to a tournament-deciding playoff — drained what will likely remain the most incredible putt of the season. Sent from the Royal Greens' fairway, via the fringe and onto the green, the snaking putt banked through a considerable right to left break, picking up pace on a downslope before having just enough left in the tank to crawl its final 20 feet right into the centre of the cup, cueing wild celebration from Varner III, his caddie, and a packed greenside crowd! A month on, and this weekend's Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by Public Investment Fund decided to see if Varner III's putt really was a one-in-a-million effort, challenging some of its biggest names to try their hand recreating the wonder-stroke. Major-winner Georgia Hall, Spain's Carlota Ciganda and Olivia Cowan of Germany were just a few of the big-names to give it a try, alongside popular golf content creators Mia Baker and Sinéad McGrath, in a challenge hosted by TV favorite Gabbie Partington. Their combined efforts have been shared on the Aramco Saudi Ladies International's Instagram and Twitter channels. Needless to say, they had mixed results! — SG
