COLOMBO — Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has met several officials in Sri Lanka, including the president and the prime minister, during his official visit to the country. Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, received on Monday Saudi Foreign Minister at the headquarters of the Presidential Palace in Colombo. They reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and opportunities to develop them in all fields to achieve the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples. They also discussed several regional and international issues and developments of common interest. Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa, received Prince Faisal also at the headquarters of the Presidential Palace in Colombo. Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman to the President, Prime minister the Government, and people of Sri Lanka, and wishes for continued stability, progress, and prosperity. The Saudi foreign minister also met Sri Lankan foreign minister Jamini Lakshman Peirce. They held an official talks, where they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields. They also discussed the consolidation of bilateral coordination in many political, security and multilateral fields at various levels.
