Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — The Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) celebrated Saudi Arabia's Founding Day by organizing T10 Exhibition matches, sponsored by SAQ Ideas Trading & Contracting Co at EPCA ground 6, 7 and 8. EPCA President Farhat Mahmoud received guests Saadi Ali Habeeb Aal Quraish, owner, and Adeel Niaz, business development manager of the company, and they enjoyed the T10 cricket matches. According to Imtiyaz Meerkar, EPCA top performers players from all three division (Premier, Prime & First) in the leagues were selected for this event. Three matches were organized between four teams, who battled it out and played excellent cricket. In the first match between EPCA Stallions and EPCA Commanders, Stallions won the toss and elected to bat. EPCA Stallions captain Imran gave an aggressive start by hitting 21 runs in the first over and led from the front to put a huge total of 126 run in 10 overs. EPCA Commanders also fought back but lost wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for 95. Mohsin Rajput was the only batsman who showed some resistance and made 21 runs. Imran took 2 crucial wickets and was declared man of the match. In the second match between EPCA Apollos and EPCA United Army, Apollos batted first and scored 113 runs, which was easily chased by United Army due to special innings from Saad Khan, who scored 65 runs in just 35 deliveries and was declared as man of the match. The final between EPCA Stallions and EPCA United Army saw the United Army captain Afaq winning the toss and batting first. Saad Khan gave them the best start and went on to score 66 runs off 27 balls as the team reached a huge total of 130 runs. The Stallions openers gave them a steady start and things were going very well, until the over of Ali Rizwan, who grabbed the wicket of Imran and turned the tables. After losing Imran's wicket, Stallions could only manage to score 117 runs. EPCA United Army won the event of EPCA T10 Youm-e-Tasees Exhibition and Saad Khan was again declared the man of the match.
