Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick sprinkled some Hollywood glamour on this week's PIF Saudi International powered by SoftBank Investment Advisers by swinging by to take in the action — and try his hand at the sport. The TV and movie actor was a guest of Golf Saudi in celebration of the $5million flagship tournament getting under way on Thursday. The 34-year-old soaked-up the atmosphere at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) before getting club in hand and having a go at the course's practice range. He said: "It's an absolute pleasure to be back in Saudi and part of another amazing moment and event for this country. "The set-up here is so classy and elegant and we've been blessed with this beautiful Saudi weather, so it's been perfect — especially getting a break from the English winter and getting to see some great sport, too. It's a pristine, perfect course. I've spoken to a lot of the golfers and they love it here." Westwick continued: "My experience with the Saudi people has always been great. I've been coming here a number of years now and you feel really, really part of something. The energy is great, the warmth is beautiful and it's always a pleasure being here." The PIF Saudi International, backed by SoftBank Investment Advisers concludes Sunday at Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City. — SG
