Published in The Saudi Gazette on 24 - 01 - 2022

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf condemned the terrorist Houthi militia launch of a ballistic missile towards Dhahran Al-Janub, Saudi Arabia, earlier Monday.
Dr. Al-Hajraf stressed that these continuous terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflect its flagrant challenge to the international community and its underestimation of all international laws and norms.
This is in addition to its rejection of all endeavors aimed at realizing peace in Yemen, calling on the international community to bear its responsibilities and take a decisive position against the Houthi militia to stop these recurrent terrorist acts that target vital and civilian facilities and objects.
He also praised the high efficiency and alert of the Saudi air defense forces that managed to intercept and destroy the missile, which, as a result of its interception, caused the remnants to be scattered on the industrial zone in Dhahran Al-Janub and resulted in some material losses in some workshops and civil vehicles according to an initial report.
The secretary general also renewed GCC countries' solidarity with Saudi Arabia against whatever targets its security and the stability of its territories, stressing the need for the international community to take instant and decisive procedures and positions to stop these acts of aggression that target vital and civil facilities and the security of Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Bahrain has strongly condemned and denounced the attacks launched by the terrorist Houthi militia with ballistic missiles and drones against Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a vicious terrorist aggression targeting the lives of innocent people and civil objects and in contravention of international humanitarian law and other international laws.
Bahrain's Foreign Affairs Ministry affirmed the support with Saudi Arabia and the UAE in all the measures they take to maintain their security and stability and ensure the safety of citizens and residents on their territories.
It also praised the vigilance and efficiency of the coalition forces to support legitimacy in Yemen and the UAE Air Defense Forces, calling on the international community to take firm measures to stop the Houthi aggression in the region.
Also, the State of Kuwait toos strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia with drones and ballistic missiles against civilians and civilian targets in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
In a statement, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Houthi militia's continued targeting of civilians and civilian areas, its insistence on defying the international community, violating the rules of international humanitarian law, and deliberately destabilizing regional security and stability, confirm the seriousness of the behavior of this militia.
The ministry stressed the urgent need for the international community, especially the UN Security Council, to take action to put an end to this aggressive behavior in a way that preserves international peace and security.
It affirmed that the State of Kuwait stands with Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and supports all the steps they take to preserve their security and stability.
In Amman, Jordan condemned the Houthi militia's ongoing attacks against Saudi Arabia, including the latest targeting of industrial area in Jazan with a ballistic missile and two bomb-laden drones that were intercepted by the Coalition forces.
The spokesperson of Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Foul voiced Jordan's strong condemnation of such repeated terrorist acts as well as targeting civilians and the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He also reiterated that Jordan stands by Saudi Arabia in the face of any threat to its security.
Turkey also condemned the terrorist attacks on Monday by the Houthi militia on the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
In a statement published on its website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey said, "We condemn the terror acts perpetrated on Jan. 24 with ballistic missiles and drones against civilian targets in the UAE and Saudi Arabia."
