Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs Gen. Saeed Bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, attended Saturday the launch of the joint tactical exercise "Arab Gulf Security 3" for the security forces in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), being hosted by Saudi Arabia in the Eastern Region, with the participation of security forces from all member states. The launch ceremony started with a review of the participating security forces, followed by a speech by the commander of the exercise, Maj. Gen. Shaye Bin Salem Al-Wadani, who confirmed the completion of preparations of the participating forces to launch joint exercises and activities. The trails aim to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the GCC countries in the security field and boost the level of coordination and readiness of the security forces to address all the threats and dangers facing the Arab Gulf region. Maj. Gen. Al-Wadani said that the joint tactical exercise, "Arab Gulf Security 3", has been planned since the approval of the GCC interior ministers to launch the third edition of the exercise in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Gen. Al-Qahtani extended the appreciation and welcome of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz Bin Saud Bin Naif to the participants in the exercise and the GCC interior ministers for their cooperation. He also inspected the medical units participating in the exercise to ensure that all precautionary measures are taken to maintain a healthy exercise environment. — SPA
