Some 250 bundles of qat were found hidden in a smuggler's car in Al-Madaya area on Sunday. Upon realizing that he has aroused the suspicion of the Border Guard patrol, the smuggler took off at high speed at the checkpoint and was later forced to stop near a school. However, he succeeded in escaping. Meanwhile, 250 bundles of qat were found in another car. The motorist, who was intending to smuggle the qat into Jizan, took off in an attempt to escape arrest.
