As the days get cooler and the grass greener, LuLu Group's flagship hypermarket chain is all set to get into 'outdoor mode' with shoppers across its stores in the country. This begins with LuLu's "Proudly South African", a week-long festival that highlights a range of juicy and wholesome food list on the shelves from South Africa to set up an unforgettable 'braai', which is the Afrikaans' word for grilling and refers to meat cooked outdoors over wood or charcoal briquettes. The seven-day South African festival was inaugurated by South Africa Ambassador CT Rubushe, in the presence of LuLu Saudi Hypermarkets Director Shehim Mohammed, held in a launch ceremony at LuLu Hypermarket Riyadh avenue mall. The same opening ceremonies were held in Jeddah region, inaugurated by Consul General of Republic of South Africa Sheikh Moegammad Qosiem Gabriels in the presence of LuLu Regional Director Rafeek Yarathingal MohammedAli, at LuLu Hypermarket, Amir Fawaz, Jeddah. South African cuisine is rooted in history and magnificent flavors. Inspired from the traditional barbecue season of South Africans, the festival will highlight great discounts on some of the best-known grocery brands. The "Proudly South African" promotion is from Nov. 3 to 9 at LuLu Hypermarkets in KSA. "We always want to make the cool winter months memorable for customers and this South African promotion is a great event to mark the beginning of the festive season. Our globally sourced range is designed to help shoppers enjoy this time of the year with grilling and camping with high-quality products inspired from the South African way of braai. "This festival will encourage the large expatriate community about the rich culture of the famous rainbow country and bounty of South African produce which lends freshness and healthful good taste." — SG
