Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held talks here on Sunday, on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders Summit. The two ministers discussed recent developments in Sudan and the importance of strengthening joint action to support everything that achieves security and stability for the north African country. The two sides exchanged views on the Iranian nuclear program and reviewed international efforts. They reviewed the strategic and historical relations between Saudi Arabia and the US during the meeting and ways to enhance them in all areas. The two ministers discussed many regional and international issues of common interest, foremost of which is strengthening security and stability in the Middle East and efforts to lay the foundations for peace made by the two countries in the region and the world. They also discussed joint efforts to confront climate change and protect the environment to enhance sustainable development internationally. The two sides reviewed the "Saudi Green" and "Middle East Green" initiatives, which will protect the planet and achieve international goals in this regard. – SG
