The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States, Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, affirmed that the Council represents an essential pillar for enhancing security and stability in the region, and it seeks to achieve this in cooperation with friends and partners. This came when Dr. Al-Hajraf received here on Tuesday Annemarie van der Heijden, Coordinator of Gulf Affairs at Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ambassador of the Netherlands to the Kingdom Janet Alberda. During the meeting, they reviewed the GCC's progress and efforts in promoting the concepts of coexistence, moderation, and spreading a culture of dialogue and respect for human rights, which is the vision of Council leaders. Issues of common interest were also discussed, as well as the importance of developing cooperation relations in various fields between the GCC and the Netherlands. — SPA
