The Federation of Saudi Chambers (FSC) Sunday organized the Saudi-Estonian Business Forum to discuss ways to enhance commercial and investment cooperation between the two countries. The forum was held in the presence of Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology Andres Sutt, Governor of the Saudi Digital Government Authority Eng. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al-Suwaiyan, FSC Chairman Ajlan Bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan and FSC Secretary General Hussein Al-Abdulqader. The Estonian delegation comprised commissions and companies working in several fields, mainly developing international trade for Estonia, ICT, defense and space, business entrepreneurship and innovation, electric and electronic industries, and financial services technology. Sutt called on Saudi business community to visit Estonia and get acquainted with the immense investment opportunities in several sectors, especially technology and digitalization, noting that digitalization in Estonia has played an important role in developing the economy and society alike. He added that Estonian technology companies have great expertise that can contribute to transferring advanced technologies to Saudi Arabia, including technologies in the defense sector, voicing Estonia's interest in exploring investment opportunities in the Saudi market, especially under the Saudi Vision 2030 and Saudi Arabia's plans towards shifting to digitalization and modern technologies. The forum witnessed several bilateral meetings between representatives of Saudi and Estonian companies to discuss cooperation opportunities and hold commercial and investment partnerships. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Bin Amer Al-Swaha discussed Saturday with Minister Sutt the aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the digital economy and innovation. During the meeting, they stressed the depth of the Saudi-Estonian relations, and discussed the ways to deepen the cooperation in several areas, and mechanisms to benefit from the investment opportunities available to the Estonian technical companies wishing to enter the Saudi market. The meeting was attended by non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Saudi Arabia Jaan Reinhold; Advisor to the Estonian Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology Helmuth Martin Reisner and Director General of the International Cooperation Department at the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications Silver Tammik. — SPA
