AL HADITHAH - The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) announced that it had thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 5.2 million Captagon pills that were seized crushed and found hidden inside a consignment at Al-Hadithah Land Port on Friday. The authority explained that the quantity of Captagon pills found hidden and disguised as carbon powder consignment was loaded in a truck after crushing the captagon pills. The authority said that the smuggling method was unprecedented at the level of customs ports The person who were receiving this amount of Captagon pills, have been arrested, the authority indicated. They confirmed that the authority is doing its utmost to prevent and thwart any smuggling attempt, stressing that it continues to confiscate and tighten customs control over all imports and combat smuggling in all its forms. The ZATCA called on everyone to communicate with it to report any information related to smuggling crimes through the Security Reports Center (1910), as the center receives security reports in complete secrecy, with a financial reward given to those who report if the reporting information is correct.
