Minister Al-Rajhi approves 4 penalties for participatory e-portal violations
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 10 - 2021

RIYADH — Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) Eng. Ahmed Al-Rajhi issued an order to add four new penalties to the table of violations and the corresponding penalties stipulated in the Labor Law, Okaz/Saudi Gazette has learnt from the ministry sources.
The first of the new penalties in the table is the No. 64 violation in terms of enabling a non-Saudi to work directly in the participatory electronic platforms and SR20,000 in fine will be slapped for the violation.
The violation No. 65 involves non-compliance of the participatory electronic platforms to the verifying mechanism approved by the ministry to ensure that no one is working in the name of other people, and the penalty is SR10,000 in fine.
The violation No. 66 in the table is the non-compliance of participatory electronic platforms and operating facilities in sharing the required data with the ministry in accordance with the mechanism determined by the ministry, or sharing incomplete data, and the penalty for the violation is SR50,000 in fine.
The violation No. 67 was classified as sharing incorrect data about workers by participatory electronic platforms and facilities being operated by the ministry, and that is in violation of the mechanism determined by the ministry, and the penalty is SR5,000 in fine.
All these penalties for the violations will be doubled with the number of workers involved in the violations. Minister Al-Rajhi stressed that the new penalties will be implemented immediately, and that all necessary measures will be taken to communicate the decision to the concerned authorities.
It is noteworthy that Minister Al-Rajhi had issued earlier a directive to limit the direct dealing of electronic participatory platforms with only Saudi workers and not with non-Saudi workers except through their firms where they are working.
The corrective period for organizing the work of employees of participatory electronic platforms, announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, ended on Sept. 19 this year.
The participatory online platform includes any application or website that acts as an intermediary to facilitate the access of services to the consumer by sharing physical and human assets with individuals.
