A Fashion Futures event will take place at the Cultural Palace in Riyadh on the 10th and 11th of December, the Fashion Commission announced.
The two-day event will bring together global, regional, and local fashion communities to create a dynamic exchange of knowledge, ideas and expertise.
Fashion Futures will explore the themes of sustainability, diversity, culture, innovation and entrepreneurship, building on themes from previous events.
The hybrid in-person and virtual event format will push the boundaries of possibilities enabling the flow of knowledge, innovation, and ideation from around the globe.
The event will be open to not only fashion experts and professionals, but also to fashion enthusiasts, who will be able to attend and participate virtually in a series of curated on-line events and digital activations from around the world.
Fashion Futures will feature fashion's most reputed digital disruptors, speakers, design mavericks and inspiring leaders from across the global and local fashion scene interacting in hybrid in-person and virtual panel discussions .
Attendees will have the chance to learn from and engage with some of fashion's most revered experts through hands-on workshops, masterclasses and Q&A sessions that will take place across two days at the Cultural Palace in Riyadh.
Launched in Riyadh in 2019 as the Kingdom's first-ever dedicated fashion event, Fashion Futures was re-engineered in June 2021 as a digital platform following the appointment of Burak Cakmak as CEO of the Fashion Commission.
The platform's premier event, Fashion Future Lives: Moving Towards Sustainability, Diversity & Innovation was broadcast live from studios in New York City and Riyadh. Featuring renowned sustainability experts, conservationists and entrepreneurs, the event virtually brought together some of the world's greatest sustainability minds to address some of the most pressing issues faced today.
Fashion Futures represents the latest development for the Fashion Commission as they continue to spearhead the growth of the Kingdom's fashion sector. The event is set to be a one-of-a-kind fashion event in the Middle East, establishing the Kingdom as a leading regional fashion hub with a spotlight on local talents and capabilities.
The event will offer free admission to members of the public via online registration, giving them access to an exciting series of dedicated digital activations and virtual events from anywhere in the world. — SPA
